    Elvis Presley's famous song, Jailhouse Rock hit number one on the U.S. Billboard Top 100 Hits in 1957. Presely's number one hit accompanied the release of his motion picture, Jailhosue Rock. Elvis Presely's song made the list of Rock and Roll's Hall of Fame, songs that shaped rock and roll.

    Bear Bryant
    Bear Bryant was the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide Football team from 1958 until 1982. He retired with a remembered record of 323 wins. He brought the Alabama Crimson Tide football team a total of six outstanding championship titles. He is known to be the best there ever was at the University of Alabama.

    The Hippie Movement lasted throughout the 60s and was a counter culture where people were classified as Hippie's and believed in peace and strongly opposed war. Hippie's were generally people with long hair, tie-dyed clothing, promoted the use of drugs, and believed in personal freedom and love. This movement was arranged to showcase how a lax life was overall better and more fun, hippie's believed in having no responsibilities and being careless.

    On June 11, 1963, Govenor George Wallace put his blockade to rest and allowed two african american students to enter into the University of Alabama. President John F. Kennedy announced that the University was going to be integrated and deployed Federal National Gaurd troops immediately. This was due to the Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court case.

    President John F. Kennedy was assassined in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963. President Kennedy was killed as he was riding in a motorcade through downtown Dallas. JFK was murdered by Lee Harvey Oswald. Later after Oswald was caught, he was shot and killed by Jack Ruby.

Robert Kennedy was a United States Senator and was walking through the doors of a hotel kitchen after his speech when he was killed. Kennedy was murdered by a Palestine immigrant, Sirhan Sirhan.
