    It was a war between the French vs. the British. They were both disputing between land. The French got kicked out of the Americas because the British won.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    The proclamation of 1763 was made by King George III. It forbade all settlement past the Applachian Mountains. He made this proclamation to protect the colonists from the attacking Indians.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The sugar act was made to make the colonists pay for molasses. They had to make this act because the previous one was about to expire. It was a lot of money!
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp act was a law the Parliment created. It made the colonists pay for every single piece of paper that they used. This made the colonists very mad and was one of the reasons that led to the Revolution.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    The Townshend Acts are a series of acts. They of course made the colonists pay, but they used that money towards the Governors and judges. They payed they a lot of money so they would stay loyal to Great Britain.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A lot of colonists were heckling the British soldiers. One of the soldiers fired, and that led to all of the soldiers firing and killing everyone. This makes the colonists enraged.

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party was led by the Sons of Liberty as political protest towards the British. The colonists dumped all the incoming tea in the Boston Harbor. This was the first protest.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    The tea act was the last straw of a series of unpopular taxes. It made the colonists pay for their tea! This led to the Boston Tea Party.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    The Intolerable Acts were the Patriots' term for a series of laws passed by the British Parliament after the Boston Tea party. They were meant to punish the Massachusetts colonists for their defiance in throwing a large tea shipment into Boston harbor.mTge colonists as you can guess were not very happy.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    Dec. of Ind. declares American independence. It states all men's natural rights. This was a great motivator for the Americans.
