This was influenced by Thomas Jefferson and many othes when using natural rights the fact that it should be universal. This gave a basis for what the commoners thought their rights should be.

    The Jacobins were created in 1789 and rose to power in 1793 the were identified by their extreme egalitarianism and violence but they called themselves the Friends of Liberty and Equality This ended in 1794.

    The Committee of Public Safety was created for the defense of the nation against foreign and domestic enemies and to make sure that all of the other parts of thier government was doing their job. Helping them stay revolutionary and ended in July of 1794.

    Was a war against Spain, Britian, and Portugal. France had turned on Spain trying to get the Iberian Peninsula. Nappoleon lost but was regarded as one of the first wars of national liberation.

    Napoleon invaded Russia in attempt to get them to quit trade with British merchants and to liberate Poland from the threat of Russia. Making some new friends with Poland and losing to Russia.

    This marked the final defeat of French military and Nepoleon. It showed an end to his reign of being the emperor of Europe and that France no longer owned Europe.
