    My uncle dying was a time of hardship for me because he was practically my best friend. He played with me more than anybody else in my entire family, even my dad, who mainly played and favored my sister. This connects to Laurence because Laurence felt like his dad favored his brother and Laurence's dad mainly played with Eddy instead of Laurence because of Laurence's asthma.

    Beginning swimming lessons was a time of searching for my true self for me because I really didn't know what I was good at. I was really just trying to find different hobbies and sports just to see if I would be good at them. This connects to Laurence because he also tried to do sports.

    This was a time of searching for my true self for me because, like my previous event, I was trying to find things I was good at. This connects to Laurence because he also tried to find something he was good at, like basketball.

    This was a time of hardship for me because all of my friends could do it except for me, and it was very embarrassing. I kind of felt left out in my group of friends. This relates to Laurence because he also felt like an outcast in front of Eddy and his father.

    This was a time of denying my true self because I did not really even like singing. I only started to sing so that I could be like my older sister, Janese, who is a natural amazing singer. This relates to Laurence because he also tried something just to be like his sibling.

    This is a time of realizing that I'm unique because I was the only one of my friends who were in AIG. I felt special because I was smarter than my peers. This relates to Laurence because he was the only one who agreed to help his Father kill the rat.

    This was a time of hardship for me because it made me feel really bad and I had to go to the guidance counselor. This relates to Laurence because the bullying impacted my everyday life, and so did Laurence's asthma.

    This was a time of hardship for me because the bully was a crush of mine. It was cyberbullying from my phone. I realized that I could just block the person, and everything stopped. This relates to Laurence because the words the bully said made me feel like I wasn't good enough, just like how Laurence felt in his family.

  • Had Bad Thoughts

    This is a time of hardship AND realizing I'm unique for me, because it made me feel different from everybody else because nobody else felt bad about themselves the way I did, even if it was in a bad way. This relates to Laurence because his feelings of not being good enough in his family happened a lot, just like it did to me.

  • Got In To Math 1

    This is a time of realizing that I'm unique because, even though all of my friends got in to Math 1, my older sister didn't and nobody in my family is good at math. This relates to Laurence because he was the only one who helped father kill the rat.
