The Great ShakeOut :
Worldwide participation to Drop, Cover, and Hold On at 10:20 a.m. on October 20 during Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills. Health Education, LINK Center, and Student Health Services will be participating in the Shake Out. Please make a brief announcement at the end of your class to cover the Earthquake Emergency Procedures -

Emergency Protocols Planning - HEEP
HEEP will develop simplifications of emergency protocols. -
Tabletop Discussion - HEEP
The HEEP Committee will hold an internal meeting to discuss the protocols for emergency procedures. -

Emergency Protocols Finalization - HEEP
HEEP will finalize the protocols for functional drills. -
Tabletop Discussion - Open
The HEEP Committee will invite guests from various departments to participate in a tabletop discussion regarding emergency procedures. -

Earthquake Drill Planning and Coordination
HEEP will plan and coordinate an internal earthquake drill in the Health Education department and in the classrooms. -
Earthquake Drill - Health Ed Dept
The Health Education Department will hold a small departmental drill in class. At 10:20am on May 2nd (date and time is subject to change), please announce to your class that we are having an earthquake drill. Drop, Cover, and Hold for 1 minute. Explain to your class, in a real emergency situation, we would drop, cover and hold until the shaking stops followed by evacuation. For this exercise, we will not evacuate to the designated location. -

ShakeOut 2017 - Planning and Coordination
HEEP will coordinate with Chief Barnes to plan for either a localized building earthquake drill or a campus wide earthquake drill. -

On October 19th, at 10:20am (date is subject to change), MUB will Participate in the Great ShakeOut. Drop, Cover, and Hold for 1 minute. Explain to your class, in a real emergency situation, we would drop, cover and hold until the shaking stops followed by evacuation. For this exercise, at 10:25am we will evacuate to the designated location.
