Schindler was born Svitavy, Moravia. During that time, this area was an Austro-Hungarian monarchy. He also obtained Czech citizenship after he was born. -
Schindler joins the nazis.
Schindler decided to join the nazi party in February, 1939. He was a well established business man that seemed a perfect fit for the nazi party. He would later help rescue helpless jewish people. -
Jews were relocated to Schindler
The Germans removed 1700 people, including 1000 Jews, from the Krakow ghetto to be placed in custody of Schindler's factory. This was a great change because the people were being greatly abused without Schindler's help. -
Schindler converts Rekord Ltd. into Emalia
Germans began occupying Poland and Jewish stores and businesses by a program called the general government. Schindler also owned two other stores, but he only employed jewish workers at the new Emalia. -
The creation of plaszow
The Germans called for the creation of a new concentration camp called plaszow. All of Schindler's workers were designated to it. Schindler convinced the SS to turn his factory into a subcamp of plaszow, thus all of the workers would remain under his control, so he could shelter them from the Nazi camps. -
Schindler's list
After the Germans granted Schindler the subcamp, Schindler requests to move his subcamp to Moravia. He, then, proceeded to create a list of about 1200 jewish prisoners that he wanted to start working for him. Schindler's lost was created. -

The effects of Schindler's list
Schindler's list ensured 800 jewish lives that would have been exterminated at Plaszow. He had to create a product while he was sheltering these Jews. He produced armaments that were mostly faulty to save more people during the war. He created about 1 full crate of working ammunition throughout the whole running time of the subcamp. Schindler, in total, saved 1000 Jews and left May 9th, the day before soviets liberated most of the camps. -

Schindler's aftermath
Schindler remained in Germany after he left his factory. He settled in Regenburg, Germany. He lived there until 1949. Afterwards, he moved to Argentina. A little while after he and his wife divorced. He returned to Germany and lived there alone. -
Schindler's death
Schindler died in Germany without money and no one in his life. He won an award for saving Jews 12 years earlier, but he was long forgotten by the time he died. -
Schindler's list: the motion picture
Schindler's list was turned into a movie to show his undaunted heroism under the tyranny of the Nazis. The movie was based on a book published in 1983. Thus ends the marvel of Oskar Schindler.
