History Class Timeline 2016-2017

  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party
    There were colonists that unloaded the tea and let the tea rot on the deck. Then there was colonists that blocked tea ships from landing. It pushed most of the Americans into open Rebellion.
  • The Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of  Independence
    The British and America were going into war. It is important because into two weeks Jefferson prepared most of the declaration. Then once that got done most of the colonies were considered themselves as independent from the Great Britain.
  • The Louisiana Purchase

    President Thomas Jefferson doubled the size of the nation and got the United States control of the Mississippi River. It cost $15 million dollars for the purchase.
  • The Lewis and Clark journey West

    Clark made an accurate map that is going to help the next generation that would go on the journey West. Lewis recorded information on new plants and animals. They were hired to find the source of the Missouri River.
  • The Texas War for Independence

    The war began because of Texas rebelled against the Mexican government.
  • The Alamo

    The President general launched an assault of the Alamo Mission.
  • The trail of tears

    There was an agreement signed under the provision of Indian act of 1830, which Indian land in East went for land in West
  • The Donner Party

    The Donner party left Springfield that was led by two wealthy brothers that followed the California Trail Westward.
  • The Mexican War

    Both of the troops met at the Rio Grande and the Mexican army was the one that fired.
  • The California gold rush

    The California began because gold was found by James W. Marshall at Sutter's Mill in Columbia California.
  • The attack on Fort Sumter

    The attack on Fort Sumter
    They were beginning the Civil War, and South Carolina was attacked by the Confederate troops. Every person that was on the Fort sumter was up by a fired gun shot.
  • The Supreme Case: Brown v The board of Education

    The Supreme Case: Brown v The board of Education
    There was a 9 year old girl named Linda that had to walk all the way across town to go to a school that was all black. Her father sued so that Linda was able to attend to a school that was closer to her home and was a white school. This ended the schools of just the blacks and whites so they could go to the same school.
  • The death of Elvis

    The death of Elvis
    He died because he had a heart attack. He was important because he was a famous singer and he lived off of his money.
  • September 11 2001

    September 11 2001
    There were terrorists that attacked the World Trade Center and the pentagon. It is important because there was a lot of people that got killed because they were in the twin towers and there were boats trying to help people so they could be safe.

    It was the day I was born I could fit into the palm of my grandfather's hand.
