The settlement started wil around 400 people and within the first year they were down to about 97 people the reason for this is the bitter cold of the north during winter. On the third day Confederate General R.Pickett Attacks the ridge but did not seize it. The Confederates srurrender. This is importantbecause its a win for the Union

    Gen Robert E. Lee surrendered to Gen. Grant. Grant unlike any surrender before allowed them to keep their weapons. Now that the War had ened Lincol wanted to put the Counrty back together peacefully. This is important because the Union has won the Civil war.

    Lincoln was shot by John Wilks Booth shot Lincoln of Apirl 14. On this day Lincoln and his wife, along with Rathbone, Ms. Harris. Lincoln was shot in the back of the head, while Rathbone was stabed in the shoulder. This is important because Lincoln's predsidencey ended and the southerns had just started to like him.
