In 1954 the Supreme Court had ruled in Plessy v. Ferguson that "separate-but-equal" facilities were constitutional. This is Event is important because this was the day racially segregated schools, were not ruled equal and therefore where no longer allowed. It also opened the door to other successful challenges to segregated public places. -

On this day President John F Kennedy was murdered by Lee Harvey Oswald, JFK was murdered while riding through a Motorcade in downtown Dallas. This event is important because our president, is the person that made critical decisions everyday for our country. -

This was the day that the eagles went to their 2nd super bowl, even though they lost it was a very close super bowl and they only lost by three points, it was a very close game. This was important to me because the was the first time that the eagles could've won the Super Bowl, and fans believe the could have.
