    Used from 1898 to 1950. On a record player a record plays at a speed of 78 revolutions per minute. The most common size for a record was 10 inch and 12 inch in diameter. They were most commonly made out of or coated with, shellac.

    8 Track-Tapes are commonly known as the eight track cartridge. They are magnetic tape sound recording technology that stores audio. To listen to these tapes you put them into your radio like a modern day CD. Eight Track-Tapes were most popular in the 1960`s to the mid 1970`s when the compact cassette took over.

The larger the disk the older the design of the disk. A Floppy disk is retrieved into a computer and are formerly used to store computer data.

The first satellite for the GPS was launched in 1978. The first GPS was made in 1995 and since then has progressed to be more sufficient and easier to use.
