    In 1438, Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui usurped the the throne, and conquered territory south of the Titicaca Basin and north of Quito

    Under Topa Inca Yupanqui, the Empire went as far south as Central Chile.

    Huayna Capac took control in 1493 and pushed territory as far North as the Ancasmayo River
