    Texas demandes Mexico to grant them independence which Mexico rejected. Texans took Alamo and after arrested Santa Anna who was forced to sign the Velasco Treaties which granted Texas their independence, later the Mexican Congress wanted to overturn this decision but it was too late.

    Mexico was in debt with France, the french used an excuse for invasion. This excuse was the demand of a French pastry chef for $600,000 because of his pastry shop being destructed.
  • The War with the United States

    The Monroe Doctrine stated the US wanted to control several countries of the American Continent. Mexico told the US that if they supported the Separation of Texas they would take that as a declaration of war. In 1845 Polk sent the Mexican Congress a declaration of war, using as an excuse invasion of territory and killing of soldiers. US soldiers advance all the way to Mexico City where they took down the Mexican Flag to put up the US Flag in the National Palace
  • French Intervention

    In 1861 England, Spain and France sent ships to the Veracruz port to negotiate the remaining debt. Spain and England returned their ships after negotiating, on the other side France didn't agree and started and invasion. In Puebla we had the famous "Batalla de Puebla" were general Zaragoza stopped them.

    Benito Juarez fled to Ciudad Juarez. Conservatives brought Maximilian of Habsburg who for their surprise was as liberal as Benito Juarez, later on he was executed in the Cerro de las Campanas in 1867
