My Parents Divorce
My parents finalized their divorce having shared custody of me. For most of my life I would switch back and forth from my mother and father's houses. This eventually got complicated with my school having to haul my books back and forth and I eventually stopped switching. For the better part of three years I have been living exclusively with my mother. -
Lineweaver Elementary
I started at Lineweaver Elementary school in the GATE program, or the gifted and talented education program as its known. I was there till 5th grade and it was the best elementary school I think I could have ever gone to. There I also met my three best friends, Maddy Barrow, Madeline Duarte, and Isabella Martinez-Lugo, and from 1st grade on we have been friends ever since. -
Argentina
After graduating from elementary school to middle I spent my summer in Buenos Aires Argentina. My mother worked for the United States embassy there for six months and I joined her, along with my Tia Maya and my Nana, for three of them. While spending most of our time in Buenos Aries we traveled all over the country. North to the waterfalls of Iguazu with the most beautiful rainbows I have ever seen, to the glaciers of Calafate where I have never been colder even wearing about 5 layers. It was on -
Volunteering for the Humane Society
I started volunteering for the Human Society as a dog walker but started working at offsite events or the vaccine clinic. I have not been lately which is disappointing but while I was most active with the Humane Society I helped at the monthly food distribution event and weekly vaccine clinic. Some fun times were the the doggy fashion show and the numerous times that the clinic was host to very cute litters of various types of cute puppies. -
Vacation in New York
With my mother, my best friend Isabella, her mother Maria, and her friend and her daughter, I went to New York City. Even though it is disgustingly hot and muggy in NYC in July it was a week filled with museum trips and shopping. At the American Museum of Natural History I saw dinosaurs and on Wall Street I got my first Tiffany's, a return to Tiffany tag with key. Going to Catalina Foothills High School
I started High school at Catalina Foothills after not getting into University High School by a mere two points and missing the registration date for Tucson High. There I eventually joined the Speech and Debate team and became the treasurer of Model United Nations. While I was there as well I met my now best friend Thalia Ignatova who is just about as crazy as I am with the same cool taste in music, my partner in crime. -
Muse Concert
Even after Muse announced their Pheonix tour date, my friend Thalia and I went to the San Diego concert that we originally had tickets for. The preceding two days were spent beach bumming and going out for fancy dinners. Going to the actual concert was a bit stressful because I get anxious when I am not on time, but once we were inside everything preceding blew over. Muse gave an unparalleled performance and by the end of the night my voice and hearing were gone. -
The Fourth Estate
Since 8th grade I had been involved with invisible children, fundraising for them when they needed and one day I decided to apply to attend their summit. I attended the four day summit in Los Angeles called the Fourth Estate, I even missed the first two days of junior year to attend. To say I was changed by the end of it is an understatement, the speakers were inspirational and the discussions were riveting. This conference almost single handedly made me wanted to change the world for the better -
Vacation to Maui
While messing around on the computer on the first Saturday morning of spring break it so happened that the Maui location of a timeshare my mom owns had a vacancy for the next week. After some more computer work my mother and I had tickets on a flight to Maui that left Monday and lodging at our timeshare. While there we rode bikes down a volcano, hung out at the beach, went to a luau, and zip lined in the forest. It was a crazy spur of the moment trip but was one of the most fun I have been on. -
Abby Comes Home
After searching online for a French Bulldog for all about a week and without my mother permission I bought a Frenchie out of Ohio. I then of course told my mother, much to her chagrin, and we picked her up about a week later from cargo at the airport. Abby as I later named her, was the cutest little puppy and even though she was meant to sleep in the crate for the night, she of course slept with me in bed. Now she is a certifiable trouble maker but makes me smile everyday.
