    If you think you have had an amazing deal before, you have never heard of the Louisiana Pruchase. This land transaction doubled Americas size.This is great since the most valuable resource known to man is land. This purchase was really important for westward expansion and manifest destiny by expanding the United States west. It was also only 15 million bucks for the whole thing which boils down to only 14 cents an achre! The louisiana purchase is one of the best purchases and a great deal!

    The corps of discovers is easily one of the most important adventures ever. The main goal that Lewis and Clark had when they went of the adventure was finding a waterway to the pacific, known as the northwest passage. On their journy, they met an indian girl, Sacagewa. She helped by being a helper and a guide. The corps of discovery helped with manifest destiny and it discovered many useful things. The corps of discovery was a huge thing and it helped America and Mainfest Destiny in many ways.

Anericas desire for land is the main cause of this war. Finally, this war inspired our national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner. The war of 1812 isnt the most popular war ever but it was important to US history in different ways.

    One of the most interesting land transactions ever is the Flordia Territory. In 1819, Andrew jackson invaded the Flordia Territory. America wanted the land, but spain was there. They signed the Adams-Onis treaty that let America have the landfi they made a new border between America and Spanish territory. Because of this, it made the existing Indians in Flordia move. The Flordia Territory is a very fertile peice of land and the way we went about getting it was pretty interesting.

    One of the greatest barriers in the world, the Monroe Doctrine. Ameica had political control over north and south America but European countres "treatened" this control. The Monroe Doctrine kept the European Countires from messing with American Political Affairs. Today, the Monroe Doctrine is still in effect and is has been working effectivly. America is the ecenomic powerhouse of the world and it wouldn't be like this without the Monroe Doctrine.

    The Indian Removal Act is a close second to the holocaust. When Andrew Jackson was president, he passed the indian removal law to move indians west of the mississippi river. The act was a key event in Andrew Jacksons life that made him equal to hitler according to indians. The act was supported by southerners which made the Americans seem evil to the native indians. The indian removal act was a close second to what hitler did and we should consider how bad that was back then.

    America has alot of history packed into it but the story of Texas just adds even more history to America. Texas was part of mexico untill the Alamo, then it bacame the Republic of Texas, its own sepreate country.The president of the Republic of Texas was Sam Huston. Edventually Texas got accepted into America as a slave state. America, however, was hesitent of this because of tensions between Texas and Mexico. Texans are proud of being in Texas, and America is too.

    The story of the Oregon Territory is a unique and interesting one. The land was jointly claimed by two countries, Britain and America. Americans came up with a slogan: 54' 40 for fight! Thw meant that America would wage war against the British if they didnt give America the Oregon Territory at the 54' 40 lattitude line. Both of the sides edventually compromised on the 49 degree lattitude line. The was the United States went about the Oregon Territory is unique and it holds plenty of history.

    There were many important wars in Americas history, including the Mexican American war. Mexico and America couldnt agree on the Texas Borders, America wanted it on the Rio Grande but Mexico thought otherwise, In 1846 America delcared war on Mexico between the borders. In 1848, the war ended because of the Treaty of Guadolupe Hildago, which let America have Texas all the way down to the Rio Grande River. This war was really important to Texas and the southern borders and it was really interesting
