My dad had surgery
So it was very difficult for us because he didn't want to loose him and it was hard for me and my family. This can connect to Laurence because it was difficult for himself when he couldn't play sports because of his asthma and it made him feel left out and for me it seemed like if he was depressed when he couldn't do anything about it. -
First day of middle school

Didn't really have any friends on my team and tried to find new friends
It was in the sixth grade and their was barely anybody on my team that i knew so i tried talking to new people and see how it went. This can connect to Laurence because he tried playing sports with his brother and dad but it never actually happened and he was trying to find new ways to connect to therm so he wouldn't feel left out. -
Found a really close friend

Had my first band concert
This was the first time that I was in a concert with a band and i was doing something different. This can connect to Laurence because he was finally doing something different and helping his father catch the rat. -
Tried out for the Soccer team and I didn't make it in because i didn't have my physical.
It was in 7th grade and I really wanted to try out for the girls soccer team and I got really sad cause they said if you didn't have your physical then you cant't participant in any of the activities. This can relate to Laurence because he also tried to play sports with his father and brother but they just didn't cont him in. -
Went to Disney World
i was trying to find myself and have new experiences with different places. This can connect to Laurence because he was also trying new things when he went to go help his father and trying to prove that he can do things even if he had asthma. -
I went trick-or-treating with my friends
it was very awkward for me because i had never done that and it felt weird but then i also enjoyed the rest of that night. This can connect to Laurence because he has never done anything with his father and that could have been "fun" for him and he had time to bond with his father while he was helping him catch the rat. -
