My Life

  • My Birth

    My Birth
I was born on a cold winter night in Kokomo, Indiana. My mom went into the hospital early in the morning. My grandparents stayed home with my brother who was a little over one and a half at the time.
  • Timothy's Birth

    Timothy's Birth
My younger brother Timothy was born on a nice spring day in the the same hospital that I had been born in over a year before. That day changed my life. Though I dont remember it, it is stuck in my head, just like his annoying little voice. This day changed my life in ways I never would have imagined were possible.
  • Second Move

    Second Move
I moved form Elwood, Indiana to Murphysboro, Illinois. I had moved from Kokomo to Elwood a short time before, but we moved shortly after. I was just under three years old. We celebrated my third birthday in our new house amoung all of our moving boxes.
  • Rachel's Birth

    Rachel's Birth
My little sister Rachel was born on a cool Autumn afternoon in late October. I didn't like having another sibling. I already had two already, another one just meant more trouble. And that remains true to this day. She always has and continues to be a nuisance.
  • My Fifth Birthday

    My Fifth Birthday
I celebrated my fifth birthday along with one of my parents' friends from church, David, because his birthday was only a few days away from mine. This year I had two cakes at two or three different parties. Everyone knows that five years is a big milestone.
  • My Third Move

    My Third Move
I moved from Murphysboro, Illinois to Essexville, Michigan. About an hour down the road, one of our vans got a flat tire. That took a few hours to fix. This move was pretty much the beginning of the second phase of my life.
  • A New House

    A New House
I moved from our rented house in Essexville to an owned house. This allowed me to become friends with my new neighbor, Maddy. Over the course of a few months, we became best friends. We shared a lot of good times together.
  • My Thirteenth Birthday

    My Thirteenth Birthday
My thirteenth birthday wasn't exactly the best day of my life. I was supposed to have a party that night, so my mom made me clean my room. But as the day progressed, all of my invited party guests bailed. It was snowing really hard and we were in the middle of the polar vortex.
  • Delta Math Competition 2013

    Delta Math Competition 2013
In February of seventh grade, I asked my math teacher to allow me to go to the Delta math competition at Delta College. He allowed me and a few other students to go and compete. I didn't leave empty heanded this year, like I did the year before. I placed and got a medal.
  • Cousins at Christmas

    Cousins at Christmas
On Christmas in 2013, we managed to get all of the cousins on my dad's side together all in one place. It was the first time it had happened in six or seven years. We all got together on one couch and took a picture almost exactly like the one we took the last time we all got together. The only difference was where everyone was positioned on the couch, and the fact that we added four or five more children.
  • Not All A's

    Not All A's
I have only ever ended a semester without all A's once. It was the first semester of eighth grade. I got an A- in Algebra, which was known for being my strong point, and an A- in Science, which is known for being my other strong point. This effected my so much that I swore never to let it happen again. So far, that remains unbroken.
  • Delta Math Competition 2014

    Delta Math Competition 2014
In eighth grade, I had to take a test to get to go to the Delta College math competition. I ended up getting the highest score on the test by a long shot. And when I took the actual test at the competition, I placed again, just like the year before. This year, though, I got a higher placing, I got the seventeenth highest score, tying for fifteenth place. This made me feel very confident about myself.
  • Washington D.C.

    Washington D.C.
In April of 2014, I took a trip to Washington DC with other kids from my grade at my school. We left on Wednesday the 24th, and came back on Sunday the 28th. Almost the whole time we were there, it was bright, sunny, perfect days. The only time that it wasn't sunny was when it started raining while we were at Mount Vernon. We were supposed to go to the mall for dinner and the go to a baseball game, but the game got delayed, so we got more time for dinner at the mall.
  • Moving Yet Again

    Moving Yet Again
When I moved from Essexville to Holly, I was forced to really let go of something important to me for the first time in my life. I had spent the past seven years building up a bunch of really close friendships with a lot of good people. I was forced to let go of a lot of these people. This move was the end of the second phase of my life, and really helped my become who I am today.
  • High School

    High School
When I started high school, I had absolutely no friends. I had left all of my friends behind when I moved over the summer. By the end of the first week of school, I had a few friends. By the end of the first month, almost everyone knew who I was. It made me really ahppy to be taken in very quickly after loosing all my friends.
