    In 1779, Napoleon is enrolled in the Royal Military School of Brienne. Napoleon was transferred to the more fashionable College of Brienne. This is a military school. At the time, his brother stayed at Autun. At this college, Napoleon earned the nickname of the “Little Corporal”.

    In 1785 Napoleon Graduates from the Ecole Miltaire in Paris. The Ecole Militaire was the best military school in Europe. He graduated from Ecole Royale Militaire. The two year course was completed in one year. He was sixteen years old at the time. After graduating, he received an appointment as second lieutenant of the artillery in regiment stationed at Valence.

    The Bonaparte's are forced to leave Corsica for being too Pro-France. Napoleon had a quarrel with the mayor of Corsica. The mayor’s name was Paoli. The family of Bonaparte had to leave the island.

    In 1793 Napoleon was promoted to Brigadier General for being a huge help at the Siege of Toulon. He defeated the British at Toulon. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General, following his defeat of the British at Toulon. During the battle, he was wounded in the leg by a bayonet. He was still able to lead the revolutionary troops to re-occupy the Toulon.

Napoleon gets a promotion to the Commander of the Army of the Interior. He was helped by Paul Francois Barras. Napoleon had met Josephine, who would be his future wife, at the home of Barras.

    Napoleon takes his army and begins a campaign in egypt and Alexandria and Cairo fall then Napoleon wins the battle of the pyramids. Back in paris the navy is defeated by the british and that causes napoleon to return home before defeating egypt.

He pretty much crowned himself. It was held at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. He crowned himself with a laurel wreath made of gold.

    Napoleon is exiled to Elba after Europe unites against him. He is forced to give up his thrones in both Italy and France. After His exile his family was forced out of Paris and they fled to Italy.

    Napoleon Escaped from Elba to return to France. When he reached France he tried to take control of the government and army agian. When he was succsessful and took over the government France was soon defeated by the British and Prussians at the Battle of Waterloo.

    After Napoleon is defeated they send him to Saint Helena in the South Atlantic. Napoleon was never seen in France again.
