And since Napoleon was the first consulate, which was the haed representitive, he decided to make himself first Consulate for ever (history.com).

    In October of 1805, Napoleon's fleet was wiped out by Britain's. This shocked many of the French people. But 6 weeks later Napoleon redeemed himself in the battle of Austerlitz, where Napoleon used his military tactic to out smart the Russian/Prussian army. The battle of Austerlitz was, controvercially, know as Napoleon's greatest victory. This event is so important to the present because Napoleon's tactics let other generals today to study them and learn from them (History.com)

    In 1809, after Josephine de beauharnais didn't give Napoleon any children, Napoleon left her for Marie-Louise of Austria. While they were together, she gave birth to Joseph Charles Napoleon, or Napoleon II. This marriage was so important because this gave Napoleon control over Rome, ruled by Napoleon II, and gave Napoleon a temporary alliance with Austria (History.com).

    After the Battle of Nations, Napoleon's forces were defeated by a Coalition that included Austrian, Russian, Prussian, and Swedish troops. Because of the Treaty of Fontainebleau, Napoleon's life was spared, but he would be exiled to an island called Elba (History.com).

    After Napoleon escaped from the Island of Elba, he returned to France. He was welcomed into France with open arms. France's king while Napoleon was in exile, Louis XVII, fled the scene in fear of Napoleon, and this is where Napoleon started his one hundred day campaign. In June 1815, French troops invaded Belgium, and was defeated by the British troops. Napoleon lost this battle because of his out-dated tactics (History.com) (Britannica.com).

    Napoleon was exiled for a second time after his loss at Waterloo. The British decided to exile Napoleon to another island called St. Helena. He died on May 5, 1821, where he died of cancer.
