The industrial revolution was a time where many machines, such as Arkwright's water frame were invented. Also, new energy sources and new basic materials were started being used. Lastly, factory, transportation, and communication ways were innovated. -
Arkwright’s water frame
Richard Arkwright came up with the invetion of the water frame in 1769. The invention produced a cotton yarn and it was a water powered operation. He invented this machine to make a lot of money by paying unskilled people to work because the machine did not take a skilled person to work it. -

Charles Darwin was an explorer from the United Kingdom. He published a book called "On the origin of Species", this book was about his theory of survival of the fittest and natural selection. He came up with this theory by seeing all the different species on the Galapogos islands. -

Charles Darwin came up with the theory of survival of the fittest. This theory means, if had giraffes have long and short neck millions of years ago, then they have long necks now because the giraffes with the long necks (the fittest giraffes) survived and passed on their traits. -
