    The exploration of Africa began in 1400 and people were in search of land, spices and gold, so King Leopold 2 hired Stanley to look for colonies. There were many people that rushed in the continent to get to Africa. Also, They outlawed the transatlantic slave trade.

    There were 5 people who voyaged across the oceans Vespucci, Crook, Magellan, Colombus and Vasco de Gama. They wanted to discover new routes and continents that can lead to the new world. In the coast of Brazil, Asia, and Patagonia there could have been hidden riches or paradises. When Colombus was on his voyage he seeked land but were held by the indians and his mission was to find routes. In 1492 colombus discovered the West Indies. Vespucci discovered a new world called " America".

    Asante was moved into Ghana in the 18th and 19th century. Asante was an active slave trade, that traded slaves and gold for firearms to have more land. Osei Tutu was the founder of Ashanti, which is now Ghana. Osei was captured by the Denkyera and he escaped heading to the state of Akwamu. Osei Tutu took control of the city Kumasi where he was captured and rebelled against the Denkyera. Osei created a wealthy state, Asante.

    The industrial revolution began in 1750 and ended in 1850. The Industrial Revolution started in Britain. People lived in simple cottages , made their clothes and exchanged goods. This was because people had to make their own power for their job, but James Watt created a steam Power in the 17th century so that energy is produced to have energy running. This spread around the globe because of new tecnologies being developed over time.Simple tools to complex machines increased economy.

    Arkwright's Water Frame
    Richard Arkwright was the one who developed the water frame in 1769. The water frame is a spinning machine that makes cotton out of water. The water frame was adifficult machine to do because you had to separate the seeds that were in the cotton from the cotton. But then Eli Whitney created a machine that separates the seeds from the cotton, so you didnt have to use handmade tools. You can have the machine do it for you.

Darwin figured out that many species were similar but had different features that might have come from a common ancestor. He made many theories on how evolution occurred through the development of organisms.

    Survival of the Fittest is another name for natural selection on how evolutionary changes occur. Natural selection existed when Darwin was discovering the evolution of species. Darwin's thesis about natural selection was if you were in fit you can survive, but if you are less fit during reproduction you are not able to survive. Natural selection can increase the orgaisms chance of survival.

    The partition of Africa began in 1881 to 1914. Britain, France, Germany and other Eurpoeans wanted to search for African territories. Countires wanted to colonize into the African territory which was held by the Europeans. It was then a rush to see who could invade or colonize it first, this was held in the New imperialism.
