    Source After the first attack there was so much smoke from the ships that the Japanese could not see where the unbombed ships so they couldn’t bombard them. Instead they used a different type of bomb, the penetrating bomb, in the second wave after the smoke cleared.

    Olin E. Teague Dedicated the Memorial to the people who died during the attack on Pearl Harbor. The 184 foot long memorial stands upon the sunken USS Arizona with all of the remains of the soldiers inside.

    At the present day Memorial, 2 million people go visit the Arizona Memorial annually. The Memorial is free, but it is first come first serve for getting admission tickets.
