The Warmint
Pip meets the convict (Magwitch), who scares him into stealing from his own household to feed and help the ragged man. -
Enter Estella
Pip meets Estella for the first time and falls in love with her. Estella, however, has taken a personal vow of chastity and cruelly rejects Pip and scorns his level in the social hierarchy. -
21st Birthday
Joe visits Pip in London and Pip treats Joe politely, yet coldly, throughout the day. He is ashamed of his relation to Joe and is irritated that Joe came to London. Later in the story, Pip realizes his wrongdoing and begs forgiveness, showing that he has changed. -
Estella's Compassion
At a gathering, Pip notices that Drummle is gazing at Estella and confronts her about it. Estella says she knows and compares herself to a candle and Drummle to a moth. Pip is angered, but Estella tells him that she only does this to decieve and play with Drummle. She confesses to him that is something she chooses not to do to him. This signifies Estella's possible compassion, for she refuses to hurt him, and instead ignores him. -
Pip's Benefactor
Magwitch, the convict, reveals himself to be Pip's benefactor. This shocks Pip, as he does not exactly like the convict. -
Pip's Revelation
Pip finally realizes that his moral values and priorities are twisted and wrong. He becomes close friends with Magwitch and prays for him at his death. He then heads home to beg Joe and Biddy's forgiveness. Pip showed that he could change his ways. -
Love at Last
Pip returns to Satis House to say his final goodbyes, and meets Estella, albeit a changed one. Pip sees how life's cruelty has changed her and forgives her. They walk off into the sunset, seemingly having become a couple at last. -

My Life

Daniel's Birth
On this day, my brother was born. It was a huge change to my life as I had been used to being an only child. It gave me responsibility and maturity to know that I was now an older brother. -
First Day of School
My first day at kindergarten was a life-changing experience. On the first day, I made three new friends and learned how to spell several new words. This new place interested and intruiged me, so I enjoyed staying there most of my day. I learned many things, both academically and socially. -
Promotion
This was the day I graduated from elementary. While it may not sound like much, it felt like a coming of age moment to me. I felt that I was taking a big step in my life. -
Oxford Academy
This was my first day at Oxford. Everything was completely new to me and the workload was extremely hard. What most affected me was the transition, I had spent most of my waking life at my elementary. Now, it was replaced my this new place/school. -
Mardi Gras Graduation
As a celebration for graduating from Jr. High School, Oxford had a Mardi Gras party in the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel. It was one of the first, if not the first, event that I have been allowed to go to. It gave me a new sense of independence and libery to be able to go with my friends to these events. -
R.I.P. Grandma
On this day, my maternal grandmother passed away. It made me reflect on my life. I saw how precious every little thing is, as there is no guarantee that it will last. Any day could be my last, so I must make the most of every day. -
Oxford Graduation
This is the day I will graduate from Oxford Academy. It will signify, for me, becoming an adult. This will give me a sense of independence and power over my life.
