Thomas jefferson is considered one of the founding fathers of the united states. during the revolution thomas was elected governer of virginia. he was signifagant cause he was asked to draft the Declaration of Independence in 1776. he was a patrot, but he didnt fight in the war he used his words to stand for what he belived in. he was born on april 13th 1743 and died on July 4, 1826.
