Stamp Act
An act of the British Parliament in 1756 that taxed the American colonies by imposing a tax on newspapers and legal and commercial documents. Since the colnies hated they repeal in 1766. -
Townshead Acts
Series of acts passed by Parliment to the colonies almost as a punishment, also to raise money. Then, because of boycotting, they were repleaded shortly after. -
Boston Massacre
On a snowy day, a colonists threw a snowball at a Brittish solider and he fired his gun and this caused a full out street fight. Not many where killed but to rally colonists, people exaggerated it making it a bigger deal than it actually was. -
Boston Tea Party
John Adams called it "The destruction of the Tea in Boston" The even took place when colonists dressed up as Indians and raided a Brittish ship that had large amounts of imports of tea. They all threw the tea in the haror. Many thought of this as a good thing while others were mad this happened. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
This Battle was the first incounter between with the Americans. This was fought in Mssachusetts Bay area, near Boston. The Americans won. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
Early in the American Revolution, the Battle of Bunker Hill took place in Massachusetts. The winner was the Brittish over the Americans. The battle provided a big confidence boost for the Americans. -
Declaration of Independence
A document made by the Continental Congress meeting at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 4, 1776, which said that the thirteen American colonies, disconnected and made themselves their own nation and no longer a part of the British Empire. -
Battle of Trenton
The morning after George Washington crossed the Delaware River. American victory after their sneaky tatic of surprise that got the Brittish off gaurd. -

Foght in New York, the Americans gain vicotry over Brittian. After this battle, the brittish were outnumbered 3:1. -
Battle of Yorktown
This Battle was fought in Yorktown, Virgina. The Americans won with the some help from the french troops. The battle boosted American morale and revived French exctiment for the war, as well as Great Britain losing followers.
