    Molasses Act
    The Molasses Act was non-english colonies importing molasses but it was taxed six pence per gallon. Surprisingly , this act wasnt made for making money but it was made to make British products cheaper. C olonist , as always, hated this act and never paid it and smggled it.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act was caused by the Britished being in debt from war so they put a tax on suager. It was not only sugar though, the British also put a tax on molasses. The result of taxing sugar and molasses was unpleasing. The Northeners loathed this because they feared the rum industry would be wrecked since molasses was used to make rum.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Greenville had to find a way to raise money. They decided to put a tax for American colonist on any printed paper as in legal documents , newspaper , and even playing cards were taxed! The colonist were yturley upset about this. This Act caused protests , mobs , mocks and an assembly.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    During this Act, a war is going on. Therefore the British made the Quartering Act which is where the colonistmust shelter the British Soldiers. Many colonist hated having to hold Britsh soldiers in their homes , they felt as it was unfair. This cuased the Boston Massacre
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    Colonist were upset about soldiers having to live in their homes because of the Quartering Act. Soon the colonist choose to start a brawl with the British Soldiers and five people died. After the fight , the soldiers were put on trial and only two soldiers had a punishment.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party is simply a protest against the English. A tea ship was brought to Boston and the colonist saw this as a oppurtunity to protest and get revenge. So some colonist dressed as Indians and got on the ship and dumped all the tea over board. The authorities were pretty upset and made more laws. This also resulted in a American Women Organization , a boycott.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    This Act closed all the gateways and ports to Boston. This made the royal government have more control over Massachusetts. Unfortunatly for the colonist, this led to another act sheltering soldiers.
  • First Continental Congress

    The First Continental Congress met in the Carpenters Hall. Representatives from every state came to the Crapeneters Hall and demanded that the Intolerable Acts be taken away. Sadly , this did not stop the Intolerable Acts , it only stopped imports from the British and it brought colonist together.
