    In May 1896 Nicholas II was crowned in the Ouspensky Cathedral which is a Orthodox church.
    Nicholas married Alexandra and they had four daughters before they had a son. The son had a blood disease a the only person Alexandra could find to help her son was Rasputin. Rasputin was a scandalous and bragged openly about controlling jobs in the government and churches. Received sexual favors and encouraged false rumors that he had been sexually intimate with Alexandra.

The October revolution lead to the overthrow of the provisional government.
