  • Treaty Of Paris

    Treaty Of Paris

  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    At the end of the french and Indian war the colonists were excited for the land that they fought for and won.That excitement soon came to be confusion because the king and his council told them they cannot use the land that they fought for.   • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This act put a tax on all printed material. The material had to have a stamp on it to be able to use it. This is when Patrick Henry persuaded our government to rebeal against the act. When he was acused of treason he said, "If this be treason, make the most of it." Samuel Adams led the Sons of Liberty to protest this act.   • Declatory Act

    Declatory Act
    This new law said that parliment could tax and make decision for all Bristish colonies. "In ALL CASES." This law pushed more colonists to rebeal against Britian later in the revolution. Picture from: www.haikudeck.com

    Townshend Acts

  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The colonists hated the British soldiers and threw sticks, stones and snowballs at the "redcoats". The Soldeirs thought that they had weapons and the commander told the troop to fire, killing 5 colonists. Colonists used this as motivation for the colonies to rise up and fight for independence. www.landofthebrave.info

    Tea Act
    This act gave rights to the East India Company to sell tea directly to the colonies. They did this because the company ran out of money. Parliment gave them the chioce of wether to use merchants or not. This put the merchants out of business. The colonists boycotted the product and didn't let the East India Company prosper from it.     Samuel Adams and the Sons Of Liberty dressed up like indians and threw 324 crates of imported tea off the boat. They threw about today's 1million dollars worth in tea.Picture from: prezi.com

    Intolerable Acts
    Or otherwise known as the coercive acts. It was made up of five different acts which are, The Boston Port Act, The Massachusetts Government Act, The Administration of Justice Act, The Quartering Act and the Quebec Act.   • 1st Continental Congress

     1st Continental Congress
    They met in Philidelphia at a place called Carpenters Hall. All of the colonies sent delegates to participate except Georgia. They mainly disscused things and/or debated them. The first matter they talked about was a plan of Union. Picture from: www.landofthebrave.info

    Midnight ride
    Paul Revere was sent to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that the british were coming. He really didn't actually say that though. After Paul did that there were two more men sent out to do the same thing except they went on different routes This is what prepared the colonies for the battles. Also to hid their gun powder.   • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    Minutemen were set up to fight when they heard that the British soldiers were coming their way. This was the place were the "Shot heard round the world" occured.   • 2nd Continental Congress

    2nd Continental Congress
    They met in Philidelphia. They dicussed how the colonists would fight against the British forces. They decided to form a continetal army. They wrote a petition called the OLIVE BRANCH PETITION, that King George didn,t even glance at. They also did the declaration of Independence.
