    The Napoleonic Code also referred to as the Civil Code, is a new reform that Napoleon made. It was a new code of laws, it represented the Enlightenment principles such as religious toleratin, the abolition of feudalism, and the equality of all citizens before the law. It also made women into second-class citizens.

    During the Battle of Austerlitz, Napoleon defeats Russian and Astrian forces. This battle was between the three emperors of France, Austria, and Russia. Russia and Austria joined with Great Britain. They were going against Napoleon's army. Napoleon omly had a little less troops than Austria and Russia's tropps combined together. This was a great victory for Napolean, both stragically, and tactically. On December 2, 1805 Napoleon had very good luck

    The Continental System was a blockade used to try and prevent the British from having any accsess to trading ports in Europe. The purpose of this was to stop the British from having the amount of money they needed to fund Napoleon's enemies on mainland Europe. France ended up getting hurt more than Britain.

    On November 30, 1807, Napoleon began the Peninsular war under General Junot with the help of Spain. The war started when Napoleon wished to continue the use of the Continental System. The war consisted of many battles. The last one was fought on April 10, 1814, at Toulose.

    The Invasion of Russia was the French invading Russia. It is also called the Patriotic war of 1812. It began on June, 24 1812 when Napoleon's Grande Armee crossed the Neman River, they wanted to capture and defeat the Russian army. At the end of the invasion Napoleons army had started with 680,000 soliders and it ended with 27,000 soliders.This invasion lasted a little under 6 months.

    On September 14, 1812 the Grand Armee led by Napoleon arrived in Moscow and found the city abandoned and burnt down. Napoleon and his army began to retreat from Moscow on October 19, 1812 and lost many members of his army due to the cold winter.

    On May 4, 1814 Napoleon was exiled to Elba, an island in Italy. In March 1815, Napoleon had escaped his island exile, and returned to Paris. When he returned he regained his supporters. He also reclaimed his title as emperor.

    On March 20, 1815, Napoleon arrived in Paris and took control, causing Louis XVIII to flee. This was after Bonaparte escaped from his exile in Elba. Two months later, Napoleon had an army of 280,000 men. England's Duke of Wellington, which contained 110,000 men, and Prussia's Field Marshal Blucher, which had 120,000 men, were close enough to threaten France, so Napoleon decided to strike before it was too late.

    On June 18, 1815 Battle of Waterloo took place in Belgium. During the Battle of Waterloo Napoleon is defeated by British, and Prussians led by Wellington. This battle brought the Napoleonic era of European history to an end.

    On October 16, 1815, Napoleon was exiled and sent to live far away on the island of Saint Helena. This island was located in the middle of the South Atlantic, so it was very difficult to escape.
