Roughly 60,000 years ago Australia had its first inhabitants. They came over from Papa new guinea. Its believed that they made their way here in a primitive type of boat or raft. -

Sometime during 1606 the dutch visited the west coast of Australia. they didn't see anything but dust and desert so they decided to not inhabit Australia.Although they did leave a marking that they bolted into a tree that is still there today. -
Convict transportation
at this the convicts were transported from England to Australia because there wasn't enough room in the British cells. -
