The steam engine was created by a man from the military enginering called Thomas Savery. He lived from 1650 all the way to 1715 so he died when he was 65 which is very young compared to todays death age. He came up with the idea by a pressure cooker and then create the engine that ran on crude oil. -

The people that came to Australia first to meet the abriginies people were the convits and british colonys who came to australia around 18th january 1788. When the british colonys arrived they brought marines with them and they were sent ashore with the captain and seamen from the ship. They found out the area at botany bay wasnt suitable for them as the harbour wasnt safe and the place lacked fresh water.
