    He was loocking for a faster trade route to Asia. He wanted to buy spices,tea, and silk

    The english settlers set up colonies in North America

    The settlers came to America for own land, other people came for religous freedom and some poeple came to America as indetured servants. They had to work for a long time to get their freedom
  • The settlers formed the Jamestown colony in Viginia

    Many of the colonists got sick and died during the first winter.
    The Native Americans they helped th colonists to farm, and the colonists used their land and labor and this changed life forever.
  • Jamestown started its own government

    The government made laws and the colonists had to follow the laws. In the same year, a ship arrived at Jamestown and the ship carried the first slaves from Africa to the colonies
  • The Piligrims people sailed to Americas

    The English people, also called Pilgrims because they wanted the religious freedom. Their ship, the Mayflower arribed where Massachusetts is today and they called their colony Plymouth.
  • The Puritans people settled to Massachusetts

    The Puritans also wanted religious freedom. Puritan leaders made strict laws and they didn't allow people to practise other religion in their colony.
