On August 26th 1920, the United States Constitution was offically ratified to include the 19th amendment which finally gave American women the right to vote in government elections. -
Sager Founds Birth Control League
On April 5th, 1921, the American Birth Control League, created by Margaret Sager, was offically recognized and taken into law under the state of New York. This eventually gave way to the Planned Parenthood Program in the 1940's. -

Commisson on Status of Women Meets for First TIme
President John F. Kennedy formed this commission in order to prmote woman's rights. He appointed Eleanor Roosevelt as chairwoman and the group worked to establish paid maternity leave, affordable child care, and fair hiring practices. -
