    Homeless in Vienna
    Hitler lived a homeless state in Vienna in 1909 to 1913. He had dropped out of school and had become very lazy with his lifestyle in the streets of Vienna. He was described as very angry and would have random outbursts. This event was very important in Hitler’s rise to power because while in Vienna he learned about propaganda from other popular politicians which would benefit him in the future and help him gain power.

    Hitler was fighting for Germany in WW1, when his lucky streak ran out in October. He was hospitalized in Germany and following his recovery, he went sightseeing in Berlin, then was assigned to light duty. He was appalled at the apathy among German civilians. He blamed the Jews for much of this and saw them spreading unrest to German civillians. This event was important because Hitler felt aqauinted with war and wanted to help Germany, which led to his rising power.

    In 1919, Corporal Adolf Hitler was ordered to investigate a small group in Munich known as the German Worker’s party. While discussion went on at the meetings Hitler spoke out for 15 minutes uninterrupted after a thought was spoken, and he was given a forty-page pamphlet entitled: "My Political Awakening." He was accepted into the party shortly after. This event helped Hitler’s rise to power because he had a voice and decided to join politics. People liked to hear him speak.

    From the small unorganized group, Hitler took it upon himself to become the leader of the small Nazi group. He was speaking and manipulating much larger crowds, especially in Munich where he talked to six thousand people. Hitler had his rowdy, hysterical tirades against the Treaty of Versailles, rival politicians,political groups, and the Jews. This event led to Hitler’s rise in power because he had 543 votes cast his way from Germans, and after this he bcame the Fuhrer of the Nazi Party.

    When Hitler was in prison he wrote about ‘His struggle” and at first it sold very poorly because people instead wanted a juicy autobiography. After Hitler became Chancellor of Germany however, millions of copies were sold. It was considered proper to own a copy and to give one to just about everyone. This event helped Hitler rise to power because supporters of his were starting to read about his ideas and thoughts about religion and the world. It was used as a blueprint for Germany's future.

    The German economy was especially vulnerable in the Great Depression since it was built upon foreign capital, mostly loans from America and was very dependent on foreign trade. People were desperate for a solution and Hitler took his opportunity when he knew it was the best time. This event helped Hitler to rise in his power because after the German government unraveled, there was a need for another election as a last resort. The elections were set for September 14th and Hitler was ready.

    Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were elected in 1930 and Hitler traveled the country acting as a celebrity. German people really thought they were going to be saved by their Furher. This event led to his rise in power because in his speeches, Hitler offered the Germans what they needed most, encouragement. He gave them heaps of vague promises while avoiding the details and used simple catch phrases, repeated over and over. He knew what to say and how to work the crowds with his tone of voice.

    On June 15, the ban on the SA and SS was lifted. The secret promises made to the Nazis by Schleicher had been fulfilled. Murder and violence soon erupted on a scale never before seen in Germany. This event helped Hitler rise to his power because after he persuaded Hugenberg to stand down they all went into the presidential office which resulted in Adolf Hitler becoming Chancellor of the German Nation.

    Adolf Hitler, the new Chancellor of Germany, had no intention of agreeing by the rules of democracy. On his first day as chancellor, Hitler manipulated Hindenburg into dissolving the Reichstag and calling for the new elections he had wanted – to be held on March 5th, 1933. This event helped HItler rise to power because with no money problems and the power of the State behind them, the Nazis campaigned furiously to get Hitler the majority he wanted.

    After the elction, Nazis began a systematic takeover of the state governments throughout Germany. Political enemies were arrested by the thousands and put in hastily constructed holding pens. This was the very beginning of the Nazi concentration camp system. This event led to the power of Hitler becuase in Germany, there were now constant Nazi rallies, parades, marches and meetings amid the relentless propaganda of Goebbels and the omnipresent swastika.

    In Germany, there were now constant Nazi rallies, parades, marches and meetings amid the relentless propaganda of Goebbels and the omnipresent swastika. For those who remained there was an odd mixture of fear and optimism in the air. Adolf Hitler turned his attention to the driving force which had propelled him into politics in the first place, his hatred of the Jews. From the moment of birth one existed to serve the State and obey the dictates of the Führer. Those who disagreed were disposed of
