    The First Fleet of ships arrived to Australia carrying prisoners from England to Botany Bay which had sailed from Portsmouth, England, on 13th of May 1787. The 11 fleet of ships arrived at Botany Bay on the 18th of January 1788 whom was led by captain Arthur Phillip. When that plave proved it was unsuitable for a settlement the fleet made its way a short distance up the coast and on the 25th of January 1788 entered to what is now known as Sydney Harbour and was once know as Sydney Cove.

    Melbourne was found on the 30th August 1835 by Caprain John Lancey, the city was found on the Yara River after it failed to construct a society inside the Port Phillip Bay in 1803. Melbourne became the capital city of Australia in 1901 and lasted for 26 years before the capital shifted to Canberra.

    World War 1 Begins
    World War 1 , the most tragic event that occured in history. This broke out on the 28th of July 1917, following the assassination of Franz Ferdinand of Austria ( the heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary). In response, the Austro-Hungarians declared war on Serbia and invaded. A web of alliances and treatier drew other countries in the problem. Russ readied its tropps in support of Serbia, Germany (allied to Austria-Hungary), invaded Belgium as a means of launchin an attack on France.
  • ANZAC troops land at Gallipoli

    ANZAC troops land at Gallipoli
    25th of April 1915, also known to most as Anzac day. The day we honour all the fallen men and women whom participated in wars, conflits and peacekeeping operations around the world. The Anzac's landed in Gallipolo during world war 1. THe campaign lasted approx. 8 moths (April 25,1915-January 8,1916) and the fatalities were beyond imaginable. A total of 8,709 people were dead and 17,260 were severely injured.

    Pain. terror, gunshots , grenades exploding, tanks rolling past and the dark sky, some of the things these brave men saw before they died. The Great War lasted four years, three months and 14 days. Germany ended the war because they knew that they would nerver win. World War 1 ended at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, when Germant signed the Armistice of Compienge. Approx. 9 million innocent people had died and more than 20 million people injured during this time.
