    The Titanic sank in the middle of the night after hitting an Iceberg. This was important because it led to radar detection, the International Ice Patrol and other safety rules and regulations.

    1918, USA's army entered the trenches, pushing back German forces with successful attacks. The Germans who were facing many problems agreed to cease-fire on 11 November 1918, ending the war for good.
