Henry VII

Upon becoming king,Henry's first concern was to secure his hold the throne.On 18 1486 at Westminster, he honoured a pledge made three years earlier and married Elizabeth of York.The marriage unified the warring houses of Lancaster and York.The unification of the two houses through this marriage is symbolized by the heraldic emblem of the Tudor rose, a combination of the white rose of York and the red rose of Lancaster. 1485-1509.

Henry VIII

Edward VI of England

Edward VI(12 October 1537 – 6July 553)was King of England and Ireland from28January1547until his death.Edward's reign was marked by economic problems and social unrest that,in 1549,erupted into riot and rebellion.An expensive war with Scotland,at first successful,ended with military withdrawal from Scotland as well as Boulogne-sur-Mer in exchange for peace.The transformation of the Church into a recognisably Protestant body also occurred under Edward,who took great interest in religious matters.

Mary I of England

Mary I (18 February 1516 – 17 November 1558) was the Queen of England and Ireland from July 1553 until her death. Her executions of Protestants led to the posthumous sobriquet "Bloody Mary".
Mary is remembered for her restoration of Roman Catholicism after her half-brother's short-lived Protestant reign. During her five-year reign, she had over 280 religious dissenters burned at the stake in the Marian persecutions.

Elizabeth I of England
