  • 13th Amendment

    This event is important because now African-Americans are free people

  • 15th Amendment

    This event leads to increased voting rights because before only white males could vote, but now minority males can also vote

  • Laws to Take Voting Rights from African-Americans

    This event leads to the Supreme Court having to make a decision on wheather it is unconstitutional or not

  • Supreme Court rules that Literacy Test are Constitutional

    This event is important because it means if you can't pass the test then you will not be able to vote

  • Supreme Court Declare "Grandfather Clause" is Unconstitutional

    This event lead to increased voting rights because if the law stayed then African-Americans would't be able to vote

  • 19th Amendment

    This event increased voting rights because now both male and females could vote

  • Supreme Court Ruled Tax Polls are Constitutional

    This event was important because now if you wanted to vote then you would have to pay money, which might have lead to less people wanting to vote

  • 24th Amendment

    This event may have increased to more people voting because now you do not have to pay any tax on voting

    This event would lead to increased voting because the state of Mississippi was encouraging Africa-Americans to vote

    This event was important because now everyone of different races were allowed to vote which would also lead to increases in voting
