    The continuity of women rights is social on the spice chart. Throughout history we see that there is still a continuity of the same poor treatment of women despite this there comes many changes as well implying women are earning and fighting for equal rights.

    Theodora

    Empress Theodora was the wife to Justinian I. She was one of the most influential and powerful of the Byzantine empresses. Some sources mention her as empress regnant with Justinian I as her co-regent. This is a huge change for women considering women had almost no rights in any form.

    Women's roles in pre-islamic Arabia

    Woman were in charge of economic roles (milking camels). They did not wear veils and they gave highly regarded advice to council. This is a change because they had it much better in terms of rights and respect compared to woman in neighboring countries.

    Like most other social structures during this time, men were higher than woman and had a significant amount of power compared to woman. This is a continuity of every social structure during this time period.

    During this time most religions and cultures had only the men and eldest son that would have strong role in the family. But a big change was in South East Asia where women started to have larger roles in their homes and families.

    Finally women were beginning to see a greater change for the better. Women began to have a greater amount of freedom and had more influence within their families and in society.

    Aztec Women

    Like all other areas of the world at this time, Aztec women were expected to stay home and grind maze, weave clothing, They were responsible for tending turkeys and dogs that were raised for meat. Extra cloth, vegetables or other items were taken by women to the nearest market to be sold or bartered for a needed item. This is a continuity because women were still expected to do all this while men went off to war or "out with friends".

    Foot Binding In China

    Foot binding was the custom of applying painfully tight binding to the feet of young girls to prevent further growth. This practice was to sexually appeal to men since it immobilized women from leaving their homes and created a small, appealing hip sway when they walked. This is a continuity because once again women are doing dangerous and unruly things to appeal to the male dominance of their country.

    Korean Women

    During the Koryo Dynasty korean women were not treated well. Many women could rarely leave their homes and they were often segregated from men. This is a continuity because it continues to show the same pattern of poor treatment towards women.

    Neo-Confucianism and Upper Class Woman

    During this time upper class women had more power then those of lower class. Upper class women could divorce with mutual consent from both women and her husband and they had more power against capricious acts then in other places such as India making this a change for some women.

    Mongol Women

    Women enjoyed a much higher level of recognition than in most other medieval societies. Polygamy and having concubines were allowed, but adultery in an official marriage was punished by death both for men and women which was unlike many other societies during this making this a change for women.
