Event #1- The holocaust was a terrible event that occurred during the life of Fidel Castro. The leader behind this mass manslaughter of innocent people was the Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler. Hitler setup concentration camps as a way to kill people that were considered "not the superior race". Over 6 million innocent Jewish people were killed during this horrific event.

Event #2- World War II was one of the most important events that occurred during the 1900's. It is known as the most destructive war in all of history, and is said to have killed 72 million soldiers! As the allies and axis fought against each other, machinery and technology clashed against each other as each side fought for their power over one another.

World War II Ends
Event #3- The end of World War II left the world in shock. Following the Axis surrender and Hitler's suicide, Japan remained to fight for a few more months. This continued until the U.S. dropped two atomic bombs in Japan on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Nearly 128,000 citizens died causing Japan to surrender and the allies to win.

John F Kennedy is Assassinated
Event #4- The killing of the 35th United States President John F Kennedy was a significant event that occurred during the lifetime of Fidel Castro. Kennedy who was a famous president was parading through the streets of Texas when he was shot and killed by a sniper. People have honored the great things Kennedy did with the JFK Library and other distinctions dedicated to the once great leader.

Neil Armstrong Lands on the Moon
Event #5- The lunar landing was another major event that occurred during the lifetime of Fidel Castro. Neil Armstrong and his crew of two other men traveled 240,000 miles into space and successfully landed on the moon and returned to earth safely. This was a monumental achievement for scientists and astronomers in the United States because they were the first ones to land on the moon. World-wide broadcast of the mission had over 600 million people watching it!

World Trade Center is Destroyed
Event #6- The destruction of the World Trade Center was a terrible event that took place during the life of Fidel Castro. This event occurred when two large passenger airplanes were hijacked and flown into the Twin Towers. The man behind the attack was Osama Bin Laden. Only 18 survivors were found alive at the cite under the debris. Almost 3,000 people died due to the attacks, and since then a memorial has been created honoring the people that passed away.
