    Started when the Japanese claimed that they were shot at by Chinese soldiers at the Marco Polo Bridge close to Beijing. Japan then decided to go ahead and launch an invasion on China. Also called the "Rape of Nanking" and one of the most shocking incidents in history.

    The Munich Conference was an aggreement saying that Nazi's annexation of parts of Czechoslovakia around the countries borders inhabited by German speakers for which Sudetenland was came upon. It is widely known as a failed act of appeasement toward Germany.

    This is also called the Nazi-Soviet Nonaggression Pact. The Non-Aggression Pact was between the Soviet Union and Germany and it was found out only a couple days before the beggining of World War 2. The actual definition of a Non-Aggression Pact is a national treaty between two or more states/countries where the signatories promise not to engage in military action against each other.
