Germany invades Poland
World War 2 starts. Hitler is in charge of Germany. Hitler threatens to take land back that was Germany's prior to World War One. England and France said that if Hitler goes into Poland they would join the fight against Germany. Hitler decides to attack Poland and Germanys wins -
Germany attacks more countries
Hitler and Germany attack Denmark and Norway. Germany fights so fast that England and Fance try to help, but it was too late Germany had already won. In less than month Hitler controls the whole entire region. The World is now nervous. -
Hitler turns to France
Hitler has been fighting against France for a while. But the french kept losing ground and could not beat them. By June 10th, 1940 Germany has taken over Paris. France offically surrenders to Germany on June 22nd, 1940. Germany at this point has no issues at all. -
Pearl Harbor
The United States stop selling stuff espically oil to Japan. Japan leaders started to get mad and they decided to attack in Hawaii. At 7:00 in the morning Japanese planes bombing by 10:00 2,700 Americans were dead. American then declares war on Japan. -
Battle of Stalingrad
Up to this point Germany and Russia had a deal not to fight against each other. Hitler breaks the deal and attacks Germany. Germany easily attacks Russia and wins many ealry battles, but Russia kept etreating. The Russian winter slows the German army and they can't fight. On January 31st the Germans surrender and the war in Eastern Europe ends -
IItaly surrenders
Italy was led by Mussolini, who had invaded North Africa. With the help of the United States, England frees North Africa and they push into Italy. Mussolini loses power, and Italy surrenders. Mussolini was shot and killed. -
D-Day
England, Poland, France, Americans, and Canadians decided it was now time to attack Germany in Europe. The place they picked was France. 150,000 allied troops stormed the beaches in Normandy France. They had alot of deaths, but they pushed the Germans back. By August 1944 France was free. -
Germany surrenders
The allies surrounded the city of Berlin. Hitler relizes everything was messed up and then he killes himself a couple of days later the German troops surrender. -
atomic bomb dropped
The Americans created the Atomic bom. An American plane dropped an Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima. The blast leveled the entire city. Three days later they dropped the 2nd bomb on Nagasaki. -
Japan surrenders. the War is over
Japan signed the surrender agreement. The Japanese agreed to all terms of the American treaty. The war was offically over.
