The Brothers Join
The 5 Sullivan brothers are widely known for being the brothers who all died on the same ship. The 5 Sullivan brothers all joined and requested that they stick together and be on the same ship, the brothers names were George (27), Frank (25), Joe (23), Matt (22), and the youngest Al (19). -

The Big Loss (Sullivan)
Today was the day the Sullivan brothers died in a tragic accident. The Japanese torpedoed the U.S.S. Juneau which killed 4 of the 5 brothers, then George (the oldest) spent 4 long terrible days floating and looking for his brothers but later was killed by a shark. -
D-Day
D-Day or the attack on pearl harbor took place in hawaii on june 6 1944. Japan attack the USA to take out large amounts of naval and aero war utilities. There were many ships sunk or damaged, and cause great amount of death in the military.It was the start of WW2 for the U.S. -
USA smart attack
The U.S. continued to fight the Japanese for Saipan,and the Japanese naval crew tried to reinforce the island but were defeated by the U.S because they were scared and turned back. -
Paris is ours!!
The U.S. is able to push back the Germans and take back Paris. We were able to take back Paris by making 20,000 German and Japanese men fled or surrender. Then our 2nd armed division coma and cleared the entire land of Germans. -
Auschwitz Liberated!!
Allies were able to liberate camps and what they found in Auschwitz was devastating. They found many starving and sick men walking around and waiting at the gate to be free. -
The Big Meet Up!
The 3 allies (France, USA, and Britain) meet up in Yalta to discuss Soviet control in England. They discuss the consequences for those who helped in the persuasion of the 11-12 million people that died. -
It starts (island hopping)
The plan is put into motion to take out Japan. The U.S. troops go for Iwo Jima and fights for 36 days. 20,000 Japanese troops fight till their death or commit suicide so they aren't looked down upon (was apart of their culture). Fact: the Japanese were running low on ammo so they tied swords to the tip of their gun and charged to take out as many americans as they could. We gained control of the Islands though. -
Franklin is Dead
Franklin dies of cerebral hemorrhage. -
Death March
The Death March killed Many people who were able to survive that long. The Death March was when they made prisoners march miles in the cold with no food for days and if you tripped or couldn't keep up/get up you were killed and thrown to the side of the trail. ( Jan. - Apr) -
Mussolini is murdered
The Italian ambassador is captured and killed for all the destruction he told others to do. -
Hitler dies
Hitler commits suicide so he doesn't have to go through questioning and then be murdered. -
The bombing of Hiroshima
The USA drops a atomic bomb onto the Japanese city Hiroshima but since the USA is so great we help rebuild the city after the war. -
FINALLY OVER!!!
The war was officially signed and over as of 2/10/1947!! Peace was raining over all countries who thought it will never end and were scared for their lives and to be real I'm sure America was happy that they weren't going to be taken over by the Germans and Japanese
