In the United States, the Great Depression began soon after the stock market crash of October 1929, which sent Wall Street into a panic and wiped out millions of investors.
    • The great depression was important because it kind of pushed the US into a better economic system. There were laws set afterward to attempt to prevent something like that from happening again.
