    Louis and Marie were married on April 19, 1770. Their grand wedding cost France thousands upon thousands of dollars. However, created a new ally.
    Transition; Marie was from Austria which brought a new ally for the French. During this thime, France helped the colonies beat England which gave them an ally overseas.

    In the 1780's taxes were risen and grain prices went up due to the fact that France was going bankrupt. In the photo we see the king distributing food and resources to the poor.This caused the people to write books, to create a better/more fiar government.
    Transition; Although there are unjust things going on, this inspired the enlightenment thinkers to write books to further the spread of their ideas.

    The King was tried and executed for treason by the Comittee Of Public Saftey. He and his wife were part of the monarchy that was ruining France in debt and destruction.
    Transition ; this started the period known as the Terror which included the deaths of many people, mainly who were innocent.

    Following the death of her husband, Marie Atoinette was "tried" and executed by the Comittee of Public Saftey during the Terror. He trial was with 16,000 other people.
    Transition; The Terror started in order to keep the governement in power, however this caused much hatred for the government due to the extreme amount of death. Napoleon steps in to end the death in the streets.

    Napoleon Bonaparte was a strong military leader and respected by France for keeping them out of war. He helps bring an end to the Terror and get them to a better state of security.
