  • Tennis Court Oath

    Tennis Court Oath
    The people of the third estate left the national assembly. When the third estate went to talk to the assembly they found out that they were kicked out of their meeting room. The third estate then found an indoor Tennis Court in the palace and swore not to leave until a new constitution was written.
  • Storming of the Bastille

    Storming of the Bastille
    Rioters gathered around the Bastille which was being used as a state prison. The workers at the Bastille showed the rioters that their cannons were not loaded, and promised not to open fire. However that only enraged the crowd even more and the rioters started to clime the walls. Men were lowering the second draw bridge when the cannons began to shoot. The Bastille was captured and the prisoners were freed and the ammunition and supplies were taken.

    The Third Estate was was rioting and demanding bread to cost less. People were raiding houses and stores trying to get food. Everyone was in panic.

    Feudalism
    one of the most famous times in the french revolution was the abolition of feudalism. The national assembly abolished the feudal system. Everyone was now equal.
  • King Louis XVI is killed

    King Louis XVI is killed
    King Louis and Marie were forced to flee to Austria. While trying to escape France they were captured and taken back to Paris. After being convicted of crimes King Louis XVI was killed by the guillotine.

    Supporters of the Revolution started killing people who they thought would be against the Revolution. In Paris a lot of people were being executed. Around 17,000 people were killed during this time.
  • End of the Reign of Terror

    End of the Reign of Terror
    One of the most important parts of the ending of the Reign was the death of Robespierre. Robespierre was guillotined without any kind of trial. Robespierre's death was a symbol of the end of the Reign of Terror.

    Napoleon Bonaparte was a military general for France. He said that Capturing Egypt would be a good source of income for France. Napoleon and his troops went deep into battle.

    Napoleon just returned to France from Egypt. Napoleon had military support and a plan to over throw the directory. Napoleon became the first consul.

    The End of the Revolution
    Napoleon became the first consul. While Napoleon over threw the directory he created the Coup d'état. Having Napoleon as the new ruler ended the French Evolution.
