    The meeting of the Estates General
    An assembly of representatives from all three estates.First one in 175 years. Heavy taxes caused it impossible to make business, the price of bread doubled in 1789 and many people suffered starvation.
    France’s government sank deeply into debt, partially because the spending of Louis XVI and his Queen Marie-Antionette. Cost of living was rising.

    The Formation of the National Assembly and Tennis Court Oath
    The National Assembly was formed because they wanted votes to be counted on the number of representatives. The first two estates would always out beat the the third estate. The King wanted the second estate to pay taxes and the nobles were not agreeing with that.
    The Tennis Court of Oath was a pledge made by the members of the National Assembly in 1789. They stayed in that room until they had a new constitution. This affect caused Louis to station his army around Versailles.

    Mob stormed at a Prison in search for gun powder and guns to protect themselves from the french army. Soon after this, the mob overwhelmed the guards and got control over the building. This was caused because the Tennis Court Oath. Once the People found out they were in panic and got the idea to mob the prison Bastille. This was a huge significance in the French Revolution

    The Great Fear gave a wave of senseless panic. Nobles were hiring outlaws to terrorize the peasants. Also peasants broke into noble mannor's houses. This was caused by the unfairness with taxation. How the peasants dealt with extremely high taxes and no taxes on the nobles.

    When Louis XIV died, he left France in debt due to the creation of Versailles. Not only that, but he caused so much debt due to always going to war with Austria and England. When Louis XVI took over, France was still in so much debt. Partially also since he and his wife Marie-Antoinette was spending so much money.

He did not have any ideas on how to control the chaos. He did not like how the National Assembly was treating him and his family. Their plan was to go to Austria to have protection there.

    The Execution of Louis XVI due to the hostility he had on the National Assembly. Also his failed attempt to escape along with his family. Louis XVI along with his wife Marie-Antoinette were one of the victims of the Reign Terror. He was executed by guillotine. He was executed because the type of government was changed and did not need him anymore.

    Robespierre was a Jacobin leader and gradually gained power. He got rid of old France.He also closed churches as well. He was the chief task of the committee of Public Safety in April 1793.He was in charge to protect revolution from its enemies, outside or inside of France.The Reign of terror was a Robespierre's rule and mention that "Terror is nothing other than justice prompt,severe inflexible" It became more moderate form, directory form. 40,000 people were executed, which are 85% peasants.

Many people thought the Reign of Terror was nowhere good. Many people were afraid that they were going to be executed by him. Robespierre was considered killing all the enemies he could find. Many people did not trust him anymore with all that power that he was gaining with just killing people.
