    July 4th is one of the most important days in North America!!! The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson and was signed to bring us together and we declared our Independence from Great Britain.
  • The Lewis and Clark Journey West

    Thomas Jefferson picks Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to lead an expedition into this new territory. William Clark was a mapmaker and an outdoorsman. Meriwether Lewis was a captain in the US Army. Together these two men would help expand the new territory by creating a map showing the most direct route to the Pacific Ocean and gathered information about plants and animals.
  • The Texas War for Independence

    Spain owned the territory that bordered the Louisiana Territory. They called the land Tejas.
  • The Mexican American War

    The Attack on Fort Sumter
    Fort Johnson attacked Fort Sumter which then started the Civil War. Which abolished slavery.
  • The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln

    The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
    Abraham Lincoln was the President during the Civil War. He was working to abolish slavery and to prevent the south from leaving the Union. He was shot at ford theater by John Wilkes booth.

    Amelia Earhart was the first woman pilot to attempt to circumnavigate the globe. She was an inspiration to women who wanted to do some of the same things as men did.

    The Attack on Pearl Harbor was what brought the U.S into World War II. We Helped our European allies so that the Nazis and or the Japaneses would not have not have power over Europe. The Japaneses bombed a military base.

    African Americans weren't allowed to go to pubic schools where white people attend and Linda Brown was one of the students that thought it was wrong and fought to integrate schools.

    Elvis Presley introduced Rock and Roll to the world and was very famous. He was 46 when he died.

    September, 11, 2001
    Both of the world trade center buildings were hit by planes and fell. nearly 3,000 people died that day and 6,000 were injured.
