    John Dight had a business in flour milling, he notified his customer he was leaving through the Sydney Herald.

    John Dight build his water powered mill soon after the first steam powered mill was constructed.
  • Dight Family abandon flour mill and was sold to Edwin Treenery

    The Dight Family abandoned their flour mill in 1864 and sold it to Edwin Treenery in 1878.

    The mill race was rebuilt in the same position using
    bluestone blocks from Dight’s old mill building, and a new mill
    and other buildings were constructed. These buildings were
    sold in 1891 to the Melbourne Flour Milling Company.
