  • 1790 - John Ross

    Protected natives from being removed from their homes, and wrote a constitution so natives could be away from the U.S, this increased more native land. ( new ga encyc. )
  • 1793 - cotton gin

    The cotton gin was a thing to help slaves pick cotton faster and better; this expanded Georgia's land and slave population,and it increased Georgia's wealth. ( new ga encyclopedia )
  • 1795 - Yazoo land act

    The Yazoo land act was when the general assembly was bribed to sell off land, this fraud helped lead to the " Trail of Tears ", and also expand land for Georgia. ( new ga encyc. )
  • 1805 - Land Lotteries

    The land lotteries were a sale of GA land you may have gotten good land or maybe bad land, but this increased land holdings and their ability to hold slaves. ( new GA encyclopedia )
  • 1832 - Andrew Jackson

    The man who ignored the worcester vs. GA, and passed the indian removal act. His efforts weakened seminole offenses by dividing their numbers between GA, and flordia. ( new ga encyc. )

  • 1845 - Railroads

  • 1850 - Alexander McGillivray

    Cheif of Cherokees that sighed the Treaty of NY, and fought to keep them safe, his alliance with spain helped convince GA and U.S to respect natives. ( new ga encyc. )
