The birthday of Father Frost
Kuzbass Father Frost celebrates his birthday on 5th December. On this day his residence starts working and stands in the forest of «Tomskaya Pisanitsa» until spring, gladden all children, who have come to Father Frost on a visit. The residence of Father Frost works every Saturday and Sunday during 3 months: December, January, and February. -
Christmas
On the 7th of January Russians celebrate Christmas. Special folk music groups are invited from Kemerovo region. Many people are interested in participating in theatricalized activities. -
Maslenitsa
This folk holiday attracts year by year more and more visitors. In traditional bringing snow town participate with pleasure children and adults. They want to show their power and boldness. Impatiently visitors wait burning the Maslenitsas straw. They reels around burning straw and smears each other ashes. -
Chyl-Paszhi
In March is celebrated a national holiday Chyl-Paszhi (meeting New Year by the calendar of Sayano-Altai ), on this day the culture of Sayano-Altai region is represented. Different national groups (shors, teleuts, khakass, altai) take part in this festival. Tourists have an opportunity to find out national food, games and art. -
Day of birds
A great day to celebrate birding. This is a fun and creative bird-related holiday. Young visitors learn the nature of native region, in our case the nature of museum-preserve in concrete ecological environment. It is important part of upbringing of the younger generation. Children with great pleasure participate in thematic theatrical show- programmes, quizes, and games. They enjoy making feeders and birdhouses. -
Easter
Easter has been celebrated in our museum for many years. This holiday is a celebration that Jesus raised from the dead and lives forever. Easter Sunday is a day of singing songs and eating. Celebrating Easter, seeing the happy faces of people around, hearing the joyful announcements “Christ is risen” and enjoining sunny spring days. -
Trinity Sunday
On Trinity Sunday we remember and honor the eternal God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Trinity is celebrated on Sunday and lasts only one day, which is symbolic of the unity of the Trinity -
«International Children's Day»
This holiday is a charity event and is held for children. The museum invites children and organizes interesting funny programmes with gifts and sweets for them. -
Kupala Day
The celebration relates to the summer solstice when nights are the shortest. On Kupala day, young people jump over the flames of bonfires in a ritual test of bravery and faith. Kupala Day is one of the favourite holidays in Russia.
